Tired of keeping tracks on all the cords you use to recharge your gadgets and devices, I discovered thanks to Paul Taylor (FT) a couple of companies that let you go down on the mat to recharge.
In Eye-Catching Devices for Gadget Users (FT, January 9) he mentions 2 of them.
The first one is Wildcharge which seems to work only on some of our electronic helpers. My Blackberry Curve makes the cut. Sounds like you can charge 2 at a time.
Not quite 'life unplugged' as they state rather 'life with less plugs'.
At first look, Powermat looks more versatile as it seems to be compatible with more products (Laptops, Cameras, Handheld Games, etc…) even though their various mats are not available yet in the US.
For small devices it appears that the Powermat can charge 3 of them at once.
