Otherwise Normal People, Competitive Rose Gardening...A new Sport?

As part of the Centennial celebrations of the Portland Rose Festival, Powell's Books invited Aurelia Scott to discuss Otherwise Normal People: Inside the Thorny World of Competitive Rose Gardening last Sunday.

After all roses have thorns. I did not realize until I noticed this book that roses could bring out such passion, obsession or what the author describes as Roseaholics.

The Rose Festival runs until June 10 and its highlight is the Grand Floral Parade on June 9.
