Last Saturday, I mentioned Alex James book 'Bit of a Blur'...Well, a nice chap from London, Dug Falby read it and was kind enough to let me know that Alex will be meeting Cheese, Writing and Music fans to chat about the book this week, June 7 (7:00 pm) at the Bloomsbury Theater in London.   Alexjames

Dug and his friend Billy run The Lecture List and they are offering 10 pairs of Free Tickets (first come, first serve) to the event.

To win the tickets, come up with a britpop-tastic name for a cheese and send it to Billy Best suggestions get the tickets.

The event is organized by Blackwell's Bookshop and Alex James will be kept on topic by Miranda Sawyer.

Slow down for 'The Day of the Mules' (June 7) in Mexico City

Not wanting to be too euro-centric, I went digging for different fare and realized that this week (on Thursday) Mexico City celebrates The Day of the Mules. The event starts in Zocalo square (officially known as Plaza de la Constitucion) with a procession after church. Children wear traditional costumes and sell handmade wooden mules.
