A Day at the Museum...On Parent Duty for Spring Break

It is always a popular destination with children so since it was not raining today, I took the kids to The Museum of Natural History in New York.

Neither dinosaurs nor Teddy Roosevelt came alive.
We did appreciate the new and improved exhibits.

The Butterfly Conservatory was a special treat with live butterflies lolling around. One even landed on the top of my head for a brief moment, a good luck charm according to the very friendly and knowledgeable guides present.
Realizing how short the existence of many of these colorful creatures is, you come to appreciate your own life span.

This show ends on May 28 so hurry.

Then Frogs will be live at the Museum.

Also in the land of museums and insects: Any takers for the Parasite Museum...in Tokyo
