Found Envelopes, Colored Pencils and Acrylic, Yoshitomo Nara 'Drawings'
Born in 1959 in Aomori, Yoshitomo Nara is one of the main figures of Japan's Neo-Pop movement.
His soon to be published (in the US) collection of drawings is simply titled Drawings '1984-2013' (Blum and Poe - November 30, 2014).
"Rendered in colored pencil and acrylic, Nara's drawings are executed on a variety of paper types, such as found envelopes, stationery and inexpensive lined sheets, and deftly fuse Japanese visual traditions such as manga and anime with Western modernism and elements of American pop culture."
