NY Night Views from 49th Floor of 7 World Trade Center, NY From the Air Book Party

Walking out of the subway station after taking E train to its last stop, World Trade Center, I realized it's been at least a couple of years since I visited this part of the city.

The rising towers of the new World Trade Center and the crowds visiting the area due to recent opening of 9/11 Memorial make for an eerie mix.

Being there brought a mix of emotions.

Reason of my visit, I was on my way to a book party for updated 2011 edition of New York from the Air (Abrams Books) by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

I headed the wrong way at first. When I finally made it to 7 World Trade Center building where party took place, I hopped on elevator for direct ride to the 49th floor all by myself.

Upon exiting the elevator I walked onto an open floor of unfinished concrete and windows all around offering eye catching views of the New York skyline at night.

Looking down at street level made me feel dizzy.

These views and getting a first look at the unfinished 7 World Trade Center building were the real treats of this book and a perfect way to wet anyone's appetite for New York from the Air.

I will get back to New York from the Air book in a separate piece.

A moment in time captured thank to my HTC Inspire.
