Faithfull, Ringo, Lennon, Ginsberg, John 'Hoppy' Hopkins Photo Exhibit, Opens July 28, London

Programming events for one space only must not be enough fun for the Idea Generation Gallery crew.

On July 28, they will launch a 6 month residency at Adam Street Gallery (London) in the Strand with a photo exhibit by John 'Hoppy' Hopkins who they featured in their main digs in 2009.

Marianne

Music, poetry, activism are part of the mix.

Here's a highlight:

"Hoppy's new exhibition at Adam Street Gallery will feature a selection of his favourite photographs, many of which have remained dormant in his archive for several years. Hoppy possesses an incredible archive having been photographer for Melody Maker , The Times and Peace News ; founder of legendary psychedelic night club UFO and co-founder of radical underground newspaper, The International Times . He was a man truly at the vanguard of a generation which broke radically with its conservative past.

For more information on Hoppy and his work visit Hoppy's Website..."

Marianne Faithfull, Ringo with John and Paul, Allen Ginsberg on stage and CND in action are some of the faces you can expect to see.

Since Adams Street Gallery is part of Adam Street, a private members club, visits are by appointment only. To make an appointment contact Adam Street at rsvp [at] adamstreet [dot] co [dot] uk.

Admission is Free.

I was recently the lucky recipient of Homemade Style Wide Egg Noodles and Homemade Style Egg Pasta by family owned Country Pasta from Polson, Montana....

Tender Horse Cheeks Braised in Red Wine, Recipe by Beppe Bologna from Italy's Great Chefs

Jul 22
While at Book Expo America, a number of titles from Italian publishers caught my eye, amongst them Italy's Great Chefs and their Secrets (White Star Publishers, 2010). Rather than just sharing recipes and chefs profiles, it takes us on a journey through all of Italy, wonderfully illustrated with photographs by Lucio Rossi. The book is divided by region. At 7 pounds, you will not take this tome on the road with you yet I am...
