More than Taxes, Malbec World Day, April 17

Once you're done filing your taxes (if you live in the US), there are more pleasurable things on the calendar in April.

One of them is Malbec World Day on April 17.

You could do a side by side tasting of the original Malbec, the black wine from Cahors, and one of its cousins from Argentina.

Where it all started Cahors Malbec notes that variety can be found in California, Uruguay, Chile, a bit in Spain, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Back in France, it is also known as Cot in the Loire Valley.
