Ron and Yann Win Soiree des Grands Crus Contest, NY, January 27

It took very little time for 2 Free Tickets offered by organizers of the first ever edition of La Soiree des Grands Crus in New York to be snapped by Bordeaux fans.

Ron, found out about contest while reading Kansha piece with Elizabeth Andoh.

He lives in Danbury, Connecticut.  A passionate foodie and member of 'Chaine des Rotisseurs and lifelong wine lover, he felt that La Soiree des Grands Crus would be perfect place to expand his knowledge of Bordeaux wines while meeting the winemakers without having to hop on a plane.

In Yann's case, this New Yorker has his wife to thank for entering the contest on his behalf and winning.

She felt he could only benefit from having his palate teased by a few Grands Crus.

I am sure both Ron and Yann will enjoy the experience.

Thanks to Thomas and Diana for making this contest happen.

La Soiree des Grands Prix takes place on January 27, 2011 at 82 Mercer in Soho, New York.

You will hear my take on this special evening in coming days.
