20 Wine Producing Countries Amongst 32 World Cup Teams Including Brazil

Chris Reckord in World Cup Wines (Jamaican Observer, June 10) notes that amongst the 32 Teams, 20 of them come from wine producing countries.

Italy, France, Argentina, Spain, Chile, Germany and the host South Africa (actually the 5th largest wine producer in the world) come to mind.

Not many of us would say Brazil which Chris quotes as being the 3rd largest South American wine producer after Argentina and Chile, before Uruguay.

In May 2010, Wines from Brazil reports that 10 Brazilian wines won prizes at London International Wine Fair and they will be available in the UK in coming months.
