Curious to see where some of my stories travel, I did just that for Foie Gras, Fungi, Pig Heads and Recipes,
Cuisinier Gascon, my interview with Pascal Aussignac and found out his book had an ancestor published in 1747.
I would probably not have discovered that bit of news if Tom Nealon had not decided to share Poulet à L’Allemand – German Chicken a recipe from this 18th Century 'Cuisinier Gascon' on Cruditas (January 31, 2010).
There are sites dedicated to Vintage Cars, Trains, Planes and Vinyl Records so why not have one on Vintage Recipes as Cruditas does covering European countries as well as the Middle East and going as far back as the Middle Ages.
Kudos to Cruditas which they inform us means 'overly full stomach' in Latin'.
