At final count, 27 movies will be shown including the program says the 'World’s 1st Food Truck Drive-In Movie' on June 26th.

Here's how the whole thing will happen:

"On Saturday, June 26, from Noon to 10pm, the NYC Food Film Festival presents The World’s First Food Truck Drive-In Movie, where the food trucks drive in and the crowd arrives on foot. A caravan of the region’s best food trucks will assemble in Brooklyn, under the Brooklyn Bridge, offering authentic artisan fare from Waffles and Ice Cream to Pupusas and Cheeseburgers. Attendees can sample from this vast array of treats, and watch food films that celebrate the food truck tradition. FREE tickets to The World’s First Food Truck Drive-In Movie will be available on the Festival website starting Friday, April 17th, at noon on a first come, first served basis."

The Breton in me could not fail to notice that Oysters are Out in Force on this year's program with the following:

The Mud and the Blood
Dir. George Motz - 12 mins
Collecting and roasting oysters is a specialty of the South and one of the best places to enjoy this Southern treat is the Lowcountry of South Carolina. (screening out of competition)

Widow's Hole Oysters
Dir. Liza de Guia - 6 mins
Meet Oysterman Mike Osinski whose Greenport, Long Island oysters are so local that they go from water-to-table in NYC in the same day.

Working The Miles
Dir. Joe York - 14 mins.
A visual portrait of a Gulf of Mexico oysterman and his wife.

Also in sync with my Brittany roots, Dan Delaney of Vendr.tv on La Dominique Creperie in Philly.

Pig ears, blood sausage, urban farmers and bread making are some of the other topics that make it on the program.

Not sure which day I will be there yet.

I hope it will be a chance to meet some of you in the flesh.

I'm hungry now, time to eat lunch...

2 Million Visitors or About for Nature Capitale, May 23-24, Paris, Champs Elysees

May 25
In Paris, residents and visitors had a chance to get in touch with their inner farmer and smell flowers, plants, live animals rather than gas exhausts for 2 days on Champs Elysees. On May 23 and 24, Nature Capitale attracted 2 million visitors or about to its dream garden. Laurent shares a few snapshots of the crowd embracing nature in Paris Nature Capitale (Daily Photo in Paris, May 25) I mentioned earlier the Vegetable Pyramid...

Armagnac with That Rhubarb Tart or Duck Magret, Tasting and Pairing with Denis

Change and variety are good. Instead of wondering red or white with that meal, there are other possibilities from Sake to Single Malt and Beer. Following my Interview with Pascal Aussignac 'Cuisinier Gascon', let me add another option, Armagnac, celebrating its 700 years. Like an oak barrel that needs aging, I am a little green on the subject of Armagnac so two weeks ago, I arranged to meet with Denis Lesgourgues of Chateau de Laubade....
