Escape winter for a few hours with Kew Gardens Tropical Extravaganza 2010.
Londoners and visitors alike can leave the cold behind with this exhibit whose centerpiece can be found in the Prince of Wales Conservatory, thousands of orchids and tropical plants.
As you can see below the Kew Gardens team did not think twice about getting their feet wet to set up the island in the pond which includes slipper orchids (Paphiopedilum).
Dazzled your eyes by crossing "a Vanda tunnel where you can immerse yourself in colour."
The Clock Vine (above) which can be up to 20 feet long they say looks pretty amazing too.
Perfect for a Sunday outing.
Tropical Extravaganza 2010, an exhibit 'dripping with color' runs from February 6 to March 7, 2010.
