Over my desk is a framed old fashioned 'World Travels of' Map (not mine).
You know the kind with pins on places you visited.
In the waning days of 2009 as I am sorting out business cards,
contacts, tasting notes and many more things, I realized that I have
one end of the year wish.
I wish I could see my contacts on a map.
I am not talking driving directions to each of them rather a view of contacts in a certain area.
Say, I want to write something about some part of Languedoc-Roussillon or Cape Town (South Africa) or an area of Alto Adige like Naturno below (map from local site)
I could be planning a visit to this region of Italy also known as South Tyrol for Vino in Festa 2010 for example.
I log in to use this magic tool and all my contacts are there, winemakers, chocolatiers, bed and breakfast, restaurants, you name it, all showing in their correct location.
It would have to be in the cloud (web based) so I can access it with any computer, anywhere.
Maybe such a thing exists already and it does not require a 10 step process.
It has been under my nose and I failed to notice.
Enlighten me!
Travel, plans, maps, contacts on my wish list for Monday Work Etiquette # 122

Présente à tout, elle était à l’écart.
