I never heard about them until today but if there is one thing that Crinella Winery in the Russian River Valley distinguishes itself for it must be the Cookbook Sized list of recipes that they share.
There must be a couple hundreds of them from rustic main dishes like Venisson Stew or Duck and Goose Gizzards and Hearts to starters like Sonoma Fish Soup or Roasted Pumpkin Salad not to forget the desserts with Banana Cream Pie . They warn us it is not an American Banana Pie recipe which they consider to be a mess most times.
I almost failed to notice a couple of Tripes dishes, nice now that the weather (nights at least) is getting colder.
All in all they turn the wine and food pairing equation on its head.
They offer the recipes and suggest the wine in the footnote.
I will have to find if the wines at Crinella Winery are as tasty as their cooking.
This family affair produces Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc as well as a late harvest wine, Glissando (Sauvignon Blanc).
Sante and Bon Appetit!
