No April Fools...Here comes 'Earth Friendly Moving'

I previously wrote about Green Taxis, Green Car Rentals and Carbon Neutral Transatlantic Flights, well with Spring comes Earth Friendly Moving.

Put it under How come I did not think about it first ideas.
The company was founded by California entrepreneur Spencer Brown (pictured here) Spencer_4 after he moved his office and realized how much waste (boxes, tape, paper...you name it) moving generated and its impact on landfills.

I myself moved about a month ago and even though it was only across town, I still had to pack quite a bit.
Besides the negative impact on nature, moving also generate waste of money.
By that I mean, you buy all these boxes and packing needs only to use most of them once and throw away.

This is where Earth Friendly Moving came up with a neat and simple idea, the 'Recopack' (in English 'Recycled Ecological Packing Solution'). The boxes are available in five sizes and rent for a dollar per week each.

Unfortunately, the service is currently available only in Southern California.

They are planning to expand to the rest of California soon and within the next 2 years to the rest of the US.

Kudos to Spencer and Earth Friendly Moving, simple and practical...

He calls his eaterie a Theater Tavern since it is in the Broadway Area and will serve unpretentious yet solid food. For...
