Halloween and Wine (Not Hollywood and Vine) with 'Sinister Hand'

While visiting my local wine purveyor Amanti Vino, 'Sinister Hand' got my attention. After all we are getting in the mood for Halloween and it looked and sounded like the perfect wine for the occasion.
Owenroesinisterhand_b The 2005 vintage of Owen Roe 'Sinister Hand' is actually a Rhone style blend from Elerding Vineyard in Washington State, courtesy of David O'Reilly.
His Owen Roe wines are named after Irish patriot Owen Roe O'Neil. Is it his severed hand (as the legend goes) gracing the label?
The wine retails for about $25.00. I did not taste it yet.

It was actually picked by Seattle Bon Vivant in January 2005 for Wine Blogging Wednesdays before I started contributing entries such as Bubbling Over in September.

This led me to pay a visit to the publisher's site where I discovered a wonderful line of Posters, a number of them on...
