Profits from 1788 cognac, Clos du Griffier, at Tour d' Argent Auction going to Charity

In Paris Tour d'Argent auctions wine from famed cellar the AFP reports that "profits from the oldest bottle, a 1788 cognac, a Fine Champagne Clos du Griffier, will go to charity."

It sold for around $37,000.

Can't go that far, treat yourself to some Kelt, a well traveled cognac.

The AFP also put the Tour d'Argent on a scale as boxers before a contest do and notes that the restaurant "has a wine list that weighs eight kilos (17-and-a-half pounds)."
