Many came for this second edition the Salon du Blog Culinaire ('Food Blog Show') in Soissons, France this past week-end (November 21-22, 2009).
Clovis and the Vase de Soissons were not present.
The succulent Chez Myrtille (French and some English) shares that 70 food demos were offered and 150 food bloggers from France but as well Canada, Belgium,UK, Switzerland and Greece expected to attend.
Small enough to keep it human.
Pascale of C'est moi qui l'ai fait (in French) was worried that it might not be as good as the first time.
She notes that it was in vain since what fuels this event rather than size of the crowd and egos on display is passion and talent.
Amongst the sessions that got Pascale's attention were the Food Photography workshops presented by Isabelle Rozenbaum of L'oreille Culinaire ('The Culinary Ear', in French).
Some of Isabelle's work (like the hands at work below) is on display at Galerie Fraich'attitude in Paris until November 28, 2009 from 1 to 7 PM, and it's Free.
In Pascale's opinion, another star of the show were the Irish Oysters.
The Salon du Blog Culinaire was organized by 750 Grammes who were kind enough to let me borrow a few snapshots from the event's album.
Roman Gods were represented by Jupiter (above) as were Carnivores before the Grill (below).
But what would a culinary feast be without Cheese, in this case Roquefort Papillon (below).
The French Wonder Woman, Wonder Sophie also did a demo about one of her secret sauces...
By the way, 750 Grammes is also a French Site for Cooking Tips and Recipes.
Now I need to meet some of these people and taste the Roquefort.
