This Clarence Thomas checks How Straight the Carrots Are for National Vegetable Society

I have attended many wine tastings this year but no agricultural fairs.

Think of them as a best in show for local breeds weather from the field or the animal farm.

One such event the Annual Championship from the National Vegetable Society (UK) was held on September 5 and 6 in Dorchester.

Here's the 2009 Championship Show Report which at first glance shows Sherie Plumb and Jim Thompson getting quite a few 1st prizes.

One of the official judges for the competition, Clarence Thomas checked how straight the carrots were.

It surely took expert hands to grow the winners in 'Onions 1kg to 1.5kg' (two to three US Pounds) below (from the same NVS pages).
