Organic as Beer in Espresso and Pomegranate Flavors

I mentioned Peak Organic in passing not so much for their brews as for their online community sharing.

The brewery came back on my radar thanks to Inhabitat Green Gift Guide Under $20 List.

Of their choices, most intriguing to me are first the Pomegranate Wheat Ale with Acai brewed "with locally grown wheat and organic coriander, pomegranate juice and acai juice"

Second or maybe first on my tasting list would be the Espresso Amber Ale "brewed with locally roasted, organic fair trade espresso. The espresso is a dark Sumatran blend, which adds a toasty character in the front palate. This plays nicely off the sweet malty flavors found on the back palate of this amber ale."
This is a collaboration with local roaster Coffee by Design in Portland.

Peek Organic states that their Espresso Amber is the first Fair Trade Certified™ beer brewed in the United States.

Not sure why you should mix caffeine and alcohol but maybe it's just me?
