Beware if you Ask an Italian for her/ his Favorite Pizza place

First of all remember that in Italy you shall not order pizza for lunch unless you want to be excommunicated or worse.
As Saturday the weather was summery enough to don shorts, short sleeve shirt and sandals in my corner of New Jersey, I thought it would be good to escape if only for a few minutes to Europe.
What is Rome's best pizza asks Andrian Adams in A crust above the rest (FT, April 19).
Putting the same question to his tennis partner got a swinging reply from his tennis (sparring) partner that the best pizza in Rome can be found in Naples (his hometown).
A way to remind us that there might be as many styles of pizza as there are cheeses in France.
Does it explain why Italy can be seen as ungovernable sometimes.

To get back to the Pizza, Adrian's three favorites in Rome are Ivo a Trastevere, Panificio Arnese and Baffeto.

Enjoy!

As an italian (living in Italy too) i have to state that it is not a crime to eat pizza for lunch.
It is even a common choice for working people that go out to lunch daily (obviously not everyday).
