When in Aspen 'Just don't think about the food miles' suggests Belinda Archer

Belinda Archer takes us on a tour of Aspen grand eateries in Just don’t think about the food miles (FT, March 22)...

She turns on its head the argument made in my recent piece on locavores and food miles and calls the Aspen restaurant scene one to satisfy the most discerning foodie skier (first time I see these 2 words married).

Amazingly a town with a year round population of 6000 people claims 700 eateries.
Amongst those she mentions are Matsuhisa (the Nobu outpost).
I noticed Montagna (at The Little Nell hotel) whose chef also claims the title of master cheesemaker.
I will let you discover the rest of her picks all by yourself...
