While hunting for information on local restaurant Ning, I also scooped out the news that the Manchester Food & Drink Festival 2007 was opening soon.
The festivities start on Friday, October 5th and end on Monday, October 15.
The highlight for opening day is ‘Grill the Chefs’ with Michael Caines and ABode Manchester at the Museum of Science and Industry. The chefs cast will give their take on food trends and then the audience will get a chance to pepper them with questions.
Opening in 2008, ABode Manchester will be a 61 room boutique hotel paired with (we hope) a fantastic restaurant.
Another event on this year's calendar caught my eye, The Fairtrade Wine Tasting on October 10 at the Manchester Art Gallery. I will try to get more details as to some of the wines served. Cost is 5 Pounds.
Obviously bistrots, pubs, restaurants, pastry shops and the like all over town will offer they own special menus and creations.
This year mark's the 10th Edition of this Event and they dedicated it to fellow Mancunian Tony Wilson, TV and Music Personality, Bon Vivant and Epicurean who sadly passed away this year.
