I am still catching up with information I gleaned while attending the Japanese Food Show in New York, a little over a month ago.
Let me say first that as someone raised in France, I am partial to coffee.
Anyway I thought that a brochure from the Sasaki Green Tea Co on Green Tea was full of information I should share.
Whether these are true facts I do not know.
Here are the 6 health benefits their brochure attributes to Japanese Green Tea:
Its efficacy exceeds vitamin E, Catechin works as an anti-carcinogen, it helps to prevent tooth decay, gives extra zinc to pregnant women, helps with blood pressure and arteries...and last of all caffeine sharpens concentration.
I guess the caffeine part should not be considered a health benefit.
The Sasaki Green Tea Company is located in Kakegawa City (Central Japan) in the Shizuoka province. Shizuoka means 'quiet hill'.
I still have to try their Sencha and Matcha teas before I can share my tasting notes.
'Kimono my house' by 'The Sparks' is not playing in the background.
