November 1st marks the beginning of Diwali, the indian festival of lights

Today is the first day of Diwali, the Indian holiday otherwise known as the festival of lights. This is not a religious holiday.Diwali People decorate their homes, light thousands of lights and exchanged sweets. Read what Reach Gujarat says about these festivities.
