For Wine Blogging Wednesdays #15, Olson Ogden 2003 Syrah is the pick for wines produced in less than 250 cases

Today is "Wine Blogging Wednesday, number 15" coordinated by Gastronomie in San Francisco.
It took a little bit of thinking but thanks to Sharon Sevrens who recently opened a wine store called  'Amanti Vino', here is a pick for a wine produced in less than 250 cases. Only 109 cases of the Olson Ogden 2003 Unti Vineyard Syrah were made.Syrah_1
In an interview given to Kiplinger magazine Sip on this Syrah in July 2005, Tim Olson and John Ogden declare that they never want to produce more than 1000 cases a year.
Sharon's tasting notes describe the wine as having great fruit and nicely integrated alcohol despite the 14.3 % alcohol content
Amanti Vino is located at 30, Church Street in Montclair, New Jersey.
You can reach Sharon by e-mail at sharon@amantivino.com

The hyperlocal blog Baristanet wrote a Wine Appreciation piece on the store on October 24.

I plan on showcasing weekly 'Amanti Vino' finds.

Special Perk: If you read this piece, happen to be in New Jersey and plan to stop by the store to purchase the wine, quote this Wine Blogging Wednesday piece and Sharon's e-mail address and you will get a 5% discount. The wine retails for $35.99. This offer is good while stocks last
